This was 2025

Cornwall wedding photographer

2025 was a busy year, filled with joy, connection and so many moments worth remembering. If I’m completely honest, at the beginning of the year there was a sense of uncertainty - not just for me, but across much of the wedding industry. Bookings were slower, enquiry patterns had shifted, and the days of long lead times seemed to be fading. Many conversations ended in silence, and committing felt harder for couples navigating a changing landscape.

What hadn’t changed, though, was the work itself. The care, the approach, the quality, the way I document a wedding day - all of that remained the same.

In an increasingly noisy space, it’s become harder to be seen, to be heard, and to find the couples who are truly looking for what I offer. That uncertainty appears to be continuing into 2026. But one thing remains absolute: my love for this work. It’s demanding and at times stressful, but those challenges are always outweighed by the joy, the love, and the people at the heart of every wedding day I get to document.

I thrive on the challenge of creating lasting memories — not through intrusion or over direction, but through quiet observation. Knowing where to be, when to be there, and how to anticipate moments comes from experience. Having photographed over 400 weddings, I work instinctively, gently guiding when needed while allowing my couples the space to be fully present. My aim is always that it feels as though I was barely there, even while documenting the moments that matter most.

Throughout the year I was lucky enough to return to some of my favourite venues - Boconnoc Estate, River Cottage, Nancarrow Farm and Lusty Glaze, to name just a few. I’m hopeful that 2026 will bring new locations, new light, and fresh perspectives to explore.

To everyone who trusted me with their day in 2025, thank you. It was, as ever, a pleasure. I hope your photographs allow you to relive those emotions and remember your day exactly as it felt.

I don’t photograph weddings to fill a portfolio or chase a particular shot. I do this for you. Every wedding is documented with care and intention, never forceful, never prescriptive - always allowing you to live and breathe your wedding day first. After all, it’s your day, not mine.

To those already booked for 2026, I can’t wait to meet you and create something truly meaningful together. And to those still looking or yet to book - I’m here, I’m ready. Let’s make some memories.
