About
I’m an easy-going creative person at heart and prefer to watch and document rather than be intrusive and demanding on your wedding day. I will give you a little direction when on our couples time but prefer to go unnoticed the remainder of the day, capturing and documenting the day for what it was, yours!
/
What’s my style? Reportage, documentary, fashion? Why label it. I shoot the day how I see it and in a way that feels both honest, natural and true. I’d rather you be you, gimmicks and crazy poses aren’t really my thing. I will capture a few family formals but prefer to keep these to a maximum of 10, your day should be about so much more than a few lineups.
99% of the day is a case of me simply being present watching and documenting it as it unfolds whilst always looking for creative angles and intimate moments. Creating a collection of images that will make you relive one of the best days of your lives for years to come.

what does a typical days photography look like

I usually start 2-3hrs pre ceremony documenting all the natural moments whilst you’re getting ready and a few simple details along the way. I’m very hands off and prefer to just capture as unobtrusively as possble.

This is it, this moment is all about you. I tend to limit my movements and clicks at this point as I would hate to stand out or be in the way. I will creatively capture all the key moments be it a religious, civil or celebrant style service.

After a quick confetti throw the party begins. There is nothing worse than being immediately whisked off for photos this is your wedding day not a photoshoot which is why I like to leave you both alone for 30-40mins to just soak up all those post ceremony hugs, love and joy with your family and friends. Grab a drink and some canapés as you’ve been waiting for this moment for years. I’ll start capturing all those natural fleeting moments as everyone congratulates you.

Ah the dreaded lineups, I understand some formal shots are always needed but I prefer to keep this list to a small select collection of 5-10 images. Just focus on immediate family members and your bridal party. This will mean we can get through this list speedily giving you more time to just be a part of your drinks reception. If you have a big list in mind with multiple groups I’m probably not the right photographer for you.

This is such an important time for you on your wedding day and a big part of what I aim to capture. That being said this doesn’t have to take a long time. I simply ask that we do this twice in the day ranging from 10-20mins max each time. Around 20 minutes before you head into your wedding breakfast and a second time during golden hour to get those dreamy romantic frames.
There isn’t a whole lot of guidance and posing as I prefer to keep this feeling as natural as possible. It’s more of a walk around the venue together guided by the light at the time and stopping off at a few locations where you can talk, hug, kiss and just spend some quality time together. It couldn’t be simpler and is a lot less daunting than most couples think.
-
After you’ve eaten and gone through your speeches we’re on the dancing and evening party. Depending on the time you’ve booked I will be with you until your first dance and a few songs after. I try not to flash the life out of the party and will use a mixture of controlled and natural light depending on the mood I want to convey.
And that’s pretty much how a day looks, I’ll wrap it up with a big goodbye and leave you guys to party the rest of the night away.
