As all weddings are one hold at the moment I’m starting to look back at those from last year which I never had the chance to share. It’s always a difficult task blogging a wedding during the season as there’s usually so much to do, I never get to share so many of the wonderful days I get to be a part of. There’s just something so great about being a Cornwall and Devon Wedding Photographer! I’m so sad I can’t photograph all the weddings I had planned for this year.
I’ve wanted to post this wedding at Ever After A Dartmoor wedding for absolutely ages, I’ve shot there a few times now but this one was extra special as the ceremony took place in the woods themselves! Ksenia and Jamie planned an English/Russian wedding set amongst the beautiful woodland backdrop under a wonderfully decorated tree. The guests had to walk through the woods to reach this secluded spot which had all the wow factor. The service, delivered by a friend, was extra personal making it so much more special.
Once the ceremony was over Ksenia, Jamie, myself, and wonderful guys at Baxter & Ted hung back in the woods to let the guest go on ahead. We then spent 15-20mins wandering back capturing some lovely moments between the pair before getting back to the party. With nibbles to hand and the drinks flowing everyone partied away with bespoke artwork adorning the venue and a friend Photo Booth set up for a little lighthearted fun in the sun.
We then headed into the beautifully decorated Marquee, if you can call it that! It’s so much more believe me, you have to see it to believe it. Speeches galore were the order of the day topping out at around 7! But nicely distributed throughout the meal to ease the blow and they were both touching and funny, such a great combo.
I then took the guys and their bridal party out over the bridge where we let off a few smoke bombs to have a different take on their group shot. Then it was back to the party for dancing, drinking followed by some sparklers just before I left.
Can I go back now, please!!
