BEST OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY 2016

Well, what can I say, but thank you 2016, thank you from the bottom of my heart - it’s been amazing and a challenge all at the same time. The year started off incredibly when I won the South West Wedding Awards' Reportage photographer of the year for 2016! An accolade I hold with the highest regard especially as the competition I was up against was simply incredible. To come away the winner, well, mind = blown! And the people I have to thank for this are all my amazing couples from previous years - again, a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart.

After winning I decided not to enter again but try my hand at The Wedding Industry Awards' South West wedding photographer of the year which stretched a little further afield. Again it was incredible to be shortlisted as a finalist in the regional finals, just not quite making it to the nationals this time. I did however make it to the national finals for the website of the year! I guess that Graphic Design degree helped a little ;-)

Highlights - where do I start? Being a Cornwall Wedding Photographer is such a joy. We all say the same, it’s so hard to choose from the tens of thousands of images we shoot each year. Each one truly is a highlight to me as is each individual couple, so to pick just a few hundred is nearly impossible. But I’ve given it a go, please forgive me for how many there are but I simply couldn’t cut it back any more.

Obviously none of this is even possible without those couples who put their faith in me to capture the most important day of their year. I’m truly honoured that I can be there as your photographer and friend to freeze these wonderful moments in time. Thank you for letting me a small part of your incredible day.

2017 is here and my family has already grown from 4 to a party of 5 so I’m looking to make this an epic year on all fronts. Come on 2017 bring it!
